This conference was part of the 4th International Thai Storytelling Festival.
The story is translated by my friend, fellow storyteller and festival organiser Dr Wajuppa Tossa. Before the story you can watch the beautiful wai khru ceremony in which we give respect to our teachers.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON  TALES FOR PEACE AT THE PEACE TALES CONFERENCE IN BANGKOK IN FEBRUARY 2016 (1  hour)

This is a recording of the one hour panel discussion on Tales for Peace that I took part in with Dr Margaret Read MacDonald (USA), Giovanna Conforto (Italy). This took place during the Peace Tales Conference organised by the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre and held on 23 and 24 February 2016 at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. This conference was part of the 4th International Thai Storytelling Festival.

I have to point out that I made a boo boo during this panel discussion. I said the Father Anthony de Mello, the man who said “The shortest distance between two people is a story, was from Tamil Nadu, India, when in fact he was born in Mumbai and ran his Sadhana Institute of Pastoral Counseling near Puna in Maharashtra, India. Whoops!

The one hour discussion is broken up into 2 videos. The second one will pop up automatically once you finish the first one.
